LUNCH:ON Team's Favorite Dishes: Part Two

Part two of our team’s favorite dishes is here! The rest of the team has been patiently waiting to pick their favorite dish to eat for their lunch in the office. The lucky six that are being featured today, again, struggled to settle on one dish as their favorite. Check out what they picked and why these dishes are the ones that stood out:

California Pizza Kitchen’s Spaghetti Bolognese

One of the newest members of the LUNCH:ON team, Amoolya, a Restaurant Account Manager, opted for a classic, Spaghetti Bolognese. More specifically she picked the Spaghetti Bolognese from California Pizza Kitchen as her winning lunchtime dish, although she was wavering between all of California Pizza Kitchen’s pasta dishes. The Bolognese just beat out the others because this dish reminded her of family trips to Italy. Nothing better than taking a trip to Italy on your lunch break, eh?

Poke and Co’s Tofu Meal

Sakshi, our Restaurant Sales Manager, had the hardest time out of all the team members to pick a favorite dish. She is responsible for getting the best restaurants in Dubai on our menu so choosing a dish is like picking a favorite child. After much deliberation, she opted for Poke and Co’s Lanai Veg Poke Bowl. This dish won for her because she is not a huge raw fish fan, so she could never get into the poke craze, but with this dish, she could fully embrace the one foodie trend she had been missing out on! If you haven’t tried this trend yet, then Poke and Co is the place to go.

Wagamama’s Katsu Curry

Vince, our Sales Growth Lead, is not afraid of talking to new people on the phone or trying something new on the LUNCH:ON menu! As a confident foodie, he is always choosing dishes that he hasn’t tried before. This is how he stumbled upon his new favorite dish – Wagamama’s Chicken Katsu Curry. Not only was the chicken juicy and the rice perfectly fluffy but the Katsu curry sauce was unlike any he had eaten before. If you’re looking to branch out of your comfort zone and try something new, this dish is perfect for you.

Yo!Sushi’s Salmon Bento Box

Next up, Sarah, our Corporate Business Development Manager. Sarah thoroughly thinks out all her choices from the wording of her emails, to what shoes will match best with her shirt, so of course, she put a lot of thought into this decision. Her choice of the Salmon Bento Box from Yo!Sushi was based on a variety of reasons that she carefully thought out, of course. Firstly, the salmon is super fresh. Important for all sushi, especially when it’s delivered. Secondly, the teriyaki sauce is the perfect balance between sweet and tangy. Thirdly, it comes with California rolls (a sushi lovers staple), as well as crab salad. And last, but not least, it looks just as good as it tastes.

Tossed’s The Muscle Builder

There’s one in every office, and ours is called Larry. He hits the gym and makes sure he’s eating the right amount of protein, carbs, and fat in every meal. And don’t think he doesn’t think about the taste; as one of our Restaurant Sales Managers, his job is to care about the taste and quality of the food on our menu. It makes sense then that Larry picked the Muscle Builder Salad from Tossed as his favorite lunchtime dish to have in the office. This salad has a double serving of grilled chicken and baked egg whites, both a great source of protein. This salad is perfect for a pre or post-workout meal!

Soulfull’s Acapulco Chicken Salad

When food looks as good as this Acapulco Chicken Salad from Soulfull, it’s not a surprise it’s a team favorite. But this dish didn’t win over our CTO and co-founder, Awn, because it was pretty. This dish is his favorite because it is a classic with a twist. This is an open burrito that is packed full of your classic burrito filling but in bowl-form making it easier to eat in the office. With perfectly grilled chicken, tomatoes, mixed bell peppers, sweetcorn, avocado, and red beans (the list goes on) it’s a feast of delicious ingredients that keeps you digging your fork in for more.

Oregano’s Pan-Seared White Fillet Fish

This pan-seared white fillet fish from Oregano takes ordering food for lunch in the office to the next level. Perfectly seared and melt in your mouth it’s no wonder this is our Marketing Associate, Henrietta’s, favorite lunchtime dish. This dish won her over because it stood out from other dishes that you could order for lunch. Her ethos; if you’re going to order you might as well order something you can’t cook at home (and she certainly can’t cook anything that tastes as good as this dish!).
